Sunday wasn't the best day in French football history. Les Bleus lost 4-3 to Belgium at home, at one point being three goals down.
Koscielny was blamed for his role at the back, while Giroud was booed off by fans.
The Gunners faithful, meanwhile, provided a mixed reaction to the developments back home. The general consensus on Koscielny seemed to be 'let him play badly for France, he's great for us.'
For striker Giroud, however, it seems his critics are eager to condemn him whenever they can. Indeed, some Arsenal fans are of the opinion France's supporters know a 'real centre-forward' when they see one and therefore aren't happy with the 28-year-old.
It was an intriguing outcome, of course, for France to concede four goals and the Arsenal pair to have off-days. You'd probably still be happier as a French fan than anyone watching the England game, though!
Here's how Arsenal fans reacted on Twitter to Koscielny and Giroud's performances for France against Belgium...
Koscielny bashing in full flow in France, as often when he plays for the national team.— SamW (@SamW_AFC) June 7, 2015
Don't care how koscielny plays for France as long as he continues to be brilliant for Arsenal— Ya Arsenal ya Gunerz (@ChrisMara85) June 7, 2015
I'm happy that Koscielny had a mare for France tonight. Hasn't had a mare in 18 months for Arsenal, and takes teams attention off him :)— TheGamerCan / Curt (@CurtisMorton) June 7, 2015
Hope you Giroud fans saw another horrible display again tonight? Is that the guy to put our hopes on? Pure madness! #afc— Real Mills (@RealMills_AFC) June 7, 2015
French fans booing Giroud. I guess unlike most @Arsenal fans they know the difference between a fraud and an actual CF.— Daniel Hill (@danhill11) June 7, 2015
Arsenal fans having a go at French fans for booing Giroud? bit ironic isn't it?— GoonAFC (@GunnerAB10) June 7, 2015
