Tottenham Hotspur-linked Everton winger Kevin Mirallas is reportedly being targeted by Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco.

AS Monaco are interested in signing Kevin Mirallas from Everton in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.

The Belgium international winger recently expressed his frustrations at the Toffees and hinted that he is open to leaving the Premier League club.

“There are promises broken and it makes for a somewhat awkward relationship with the coach (Roberto Martinez),” The Liverpool Echo quoted Mirallas as saying. “Soon, I will have a conversation with him.

“I have had a beautiful three years with Everton. I have experienced many great moments and for that I must thank the club. I don’t know whether I will leave, it is a decision I have to make in consultation with my family.”

It has now been reported by The Daily Mail that Ligue 1 outfit Monaco have “expressed an interest” in the 27-year-old.

Monaco finished third in the recently concluded 2014-15 Ligue 1 campaign and stand a chance of featuring in the Champions League proper next season.

The reported interest of Leonardo Jardim’s side in Mirallas will come as a blow to Tottenham Hotspur, who have also been linked with the Everton star.

The Mirror reported back in April that Spurs want to sign the former Olympiacos winger and are willing to send Aaron Lennon back to Everton on a permanent basis.

Tottenham failed to finish in the top four of the Premier League in the 2014-15 campaign and will not feature in the Champions League next season.

Monaco are not guaranteed a place in the group stage of Europe’s premier club competition as they will have to feature in qualifiers, but at least they have a chance.

According to The Daily Mail, Mirallas “has made it clear he is prepared to leave for Champions League football”, which means Tottenham could miss out if Monaco make an offer.
