Report: Manchester United battle Real Madrid for Servette youngster Lorenzo Gonzalez

Manchester United are Real Madrid have been scouting the exciting 15-year-old for some time.

Manchester United are facing a battle with Real Madrid for Swiss youngster Lorenzo Gonzalez, according to the Daily Mail.

The 15-year-old is currently with Swiss second division side Servette and has been gaining attention from a number of clubs after starring for the national side, scoring twice in an Under-15 game against Hungary this week.

United and Real Madrid both had scouts at that game in order to check on the progress of Gonzalez, although the La Liga giants are thought to have been tracking him throughout the season.

However, despite the number of teams after him, United and Madrid are both believed to be at the front of the queue as Servette anticipate bids over the coming weeks once the summer transfer window warms up.

According to the Mail, Gonzalez is powerful and quick with a particular knack for scoring goals, which is why all the big sides are interested in him.

United in particular are expected to be busy during this transfer window as they look to sign a number players to boost their first team squad, although not many will have been anticipating the signing of a relatively unknown 15-year-old to be one of their first.
