QPR fans livid on Twitter as Vardy is played ahead of Austin

The Leicester City striker came on for England instead of the Queens Park Rangers man...

No one was really happy having to sit through 90 minutes of non-existent football on Sunday afternoon. England traveled to the Republic of Ireland and fans of both countries alike - as well as neutrals - were simply put to sleep with one of the most boring draws history can remember.

QPR supporters, however, had even more to feel frustrated about, as their star striker Charlie Austin wasn't even brought on during the stalemate.

Leicester City's Jamie Vardy, meanwhile, was. And that's despite scoring 13 less goals than the QPR man in the Premier League last season.

Naturally, then, R's fans weren't best pleased on Twitter in their response to a game that would have already left them disappointed to the extreme.

Will Austin get a chance against Slovenia next week? It would be a bit of a slap in the face for Leicester's Vardy to get minutes at his expense a second time. Why did Roy Hodgson bring QPR's top scorer with him on international duty if he wasn't planning on playing him?

Here's what the R's faithful had to say about their star man losing out to the Leicester forward on Twitter...
