A player who scores for fun could soon be pulling on an Arsenal shirt according to the latest report.
The report claims the Gunners are keen to do their business swiftly, with a new forward high on the agenda; although they have also followed up on reports suggesting that both Gonzalo Higuain and Fernando Llorente could be potential alternatives if a deal for Jackson cannot be completed.
The Colombia international is a goal-machine, having scored 32 times in 42 appearances for Porto this season and 92 times in 133 matches since he arrived at the club.
Prior to that, the alleged Arsenal target scored 36 goals in 69 matches for Chiapas and 21 goals in 28 games for Independiente Medellin.
With that kind of record it would no surprise if Arsenal were working hard behind the scenes to complete a deal for a player who would be a wonderful addition to Arsene Wenger’s squad.
That said, there are sure to be other clubs interested in him, but if Arsenal ultimately succeed their strike-force could fire them back to Premier League glory and potential success in the Champions League to boot.
