Gerard Pique adds another souvenir to his Champions League collection

Barcelona swept to Champions League victory in Berlin, but taking the trophy and the winners medal, wasn't enough for Gerard Pique...

After an exceptional performance at the back for the Catalan giants, arguably one of the best and most important displays of his career, as Barcelona triumphed 3-1 against Juventus, centre-back Gerard Pique and his team-mates were fully deserving of their victory.

It appears laying his hands on the Champions League trophy, and walking away with a winners medal, wasn't enough for Barcelona defender Gerard Pique.

Amidst the euphoric celebrations amongst the players, Pique headed off towards one of the goals, where he decided to claim himself a unique piece of Champions League memorabilia.

Scissors in hand and aided by team-mate Marc Bartra, 28-year-old Pique snipped away at the nets, keen to grab himself another memento of such a very special occasion.

Despite being on the receiving end of criticism from the Spanish press, amidst suggestions he was out of form, Pique has responded in the best possible way, with highly consistent and strong performances with Barcelona, throughout the season.

Few can now argue that he thoroughly deserves each piece of silverware, he's worked so hard to help the team achieve this season, a superb treble, with is now accompanied by the nets from the Olympiastadion, which will now adorn his personal collection of memorabilia at home.
