Arsenal fans react on Twitter to Arturo Vidal's Champions League final performance

Arturo Vidal

Arturo Vidal's performance for Juventus against Barcelona split opinion among Arsenal fans.

Arturo Vidal was handed a thankless task of attempting to help Juventus stop the relentless attacking force that is Barcelona.

The Chilean midfielder was on the losing side as the Spaniards beat the Serie A champions 3-1 in Berlin, to clinch their fifth Champions League trophy in a decade.

Juventus talisman Vidal was thrown off his normal game attempting to help his side keep Barcelona at bay, with his own attacking influence diminished.

It was not a showcase game from an individual perspective for him, despite the occasion being just that, left chasing shadows for Barcelona's opening goal.

The midfielder has been linked with joining Arsenal this summer, with The Telegraph reporting that his agent, also Alexis Sanchez's, has held talks with the Gunner over a move for his client.

Vidal's future will no doubt be one of this summer's hot topics, but he also has a Copa America tournament to focus on in his homeland later this month.

His display against Barcelona in Berlin did not enhance his reputation, but his tough tackling in midfield still underlined what he would bring to the Premier League.

Arsenal fans reacted with divided opinions on his performance in light of the current rumours. Here is a look at what they had to say via Twitter...
