Watford fans react on Twitter to Flores appointment, respond to Jokanovic's message

The Hornets faithful both looked back and ahead on social media.

If there's any set of fans used to seeing a new manager being unveiled, it's Watford's.

They're not the only free-hiring club, of course, (Leeds United come to mind...) but the Vicarage Road faithful saw their fifth head coach appointed in just 10 months on Friday afternoon.

Indeed, Quique Sanchez Flores, a Europa League winner with Atletico Madrid, has embarked upon his first job in English football - and his first in the Premier League.

Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague insisted Watford fans have plenty to get excited about with the signing of the 50-year-old Spaniard and, the odd joke about him already being sacked aside, Hornets fans did seem to be very pleased with the appointment on Twitter.

But Flores' limelight was stolen somewhat, especially on social media, by former manager Slavisa Jokanovic posting a farewell message to Watford supporters.

It seemed there were plenty more fans interested in responding to the bearded Serb and thanking him for his fine efforts in getting Watford promoted from the Championship to the Premier League.

Here's a selection of both the Flores and Jokanovic reaction!
