According to a report from Goal.com, Manchester United are readying a £50million package to tempt Tottenham Hotspur into selling Harry Kane.
The report claims United could also use the likes of Adnan Januzaj, Javier Hernandez and Nani as part of the deal to sign the free-scoring youngster.
Kane is fresh off the back of a wonderful campaign, during which he scored 31 goals in 51 matches. But despite United’s alleged interest it is highly unlikely Tottenham will even consider a bid for their star player.
At just 21, Kane has plenty of time to develop while his current contract runs until the summer of 2020, meaning Spurs have no need to sell any time soon.
That may not stop United from bidding, with the need for additional fire-power at Old Trafford increasing following the end of Radamel Falcao’s loan move and with doubts remaining over the future of Robin van Persie.
But Tottenham know they have a gem in their possession and why would they swap him for the likes of Hernandez (who has rarely featured for Real Madrid this season) and Nani (who has been anything but consistent since arriving in England)?
