Former Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United winger Trevor Sinclair reveals that he applied for the Blackpool job.

Former Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United winger Trevor Sinclair has revealed on social networking site Twitter that he applied for the Blackpool managerial job.

Blackpool appointed former West Ham assistant Neil McDonald as their new manager on a one-year rolling deal earlier this month following the resignation of Lee Clark in May.

Sinclair has revealed that he offered his services to the League One outfit, but he was turned down.

The former England international has also stated that he wants to return to West Ham in the future.

Premier League outfit West Ham are looking for a manager at the moment following the departure of Sam Allardyce.

Former Newcastle United boss Allardyce’s contract with the Hammers ran out at the end of the 2014-15 season, and he was not handed a new deal.

West Ham finished 12th in the Premier League in the recently concluded 2014-15 campaign with 47 points from 38 matches.
