According to reports in Poland Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on a young midfielder.
The 20-year-old has a contract with the Polish side until the summer of 2016, but the latest suggestion is that Tottenham are on the verge of signing a youngster who has already racked up 70 senior appearances with Poznan and will complete a deal for several million euros.
The latest report claims Tottenham have been waiting to complete a move for Linetty for some time and had initially considered doing so back in January.
However, it is now alleged that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have decided the time is right to sign the promising youngster, who can play as a defensive midfielder or in a more attack-minded role and who has scored six goals and provided six assists to date.
The report goes on to claim Linetty caught the eye of Tottenham scouts when playing for the Polish youth teams, and he has since gone on to feature five times for Poland’s senior side.
With the youngster allegedly turning down a move away from Poznan last summer in order to get more experience under his belt, the latest claims from his homeland suggests the time is nearly right for him to make the move to England.
