Turkish international Mehmet Topal is nicknamed the 'Spider' because of his ability to intercept possession.
Fenerbahce midfielder Mehmet Topal is a man very much on the radar of England's top flight clubs, according to Turkish media outlet Posta.
The 29-year-old defensive midfielder helped the Istanbul outfit to second in the Super Lig this past season, and is one of the top players in the division, leading to links to a whole host of Premier League clubs recently by the website.
With several of those sides chasing midfield reinforcements, and the fact a quarter of the Premier League's sides have been linked to him, it's difficult to predict where Topal will be playing his football next season.
The Turkey international has been terrific for the Yellow Canaries since arriving in 2012, and they would be desperate to keep him at the club.
But Topal has already shown he is happy to try his hand in a tougher league in his career, leaving Galatasaray for La Liga side Valencia.
He made 41 appearances in the 2014-15 campaign, scoring 4 goals, and is nicknamed 'Spider' due to his long legs and his ability to intercept and tackle in the middle of the pitch.
Only time will tell if he will end up spinning a web at any Premier League ground next season.
