Leeds United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the news that youngster Kalvin Phillips has committed his future to the club.
West Yorkshire outfit Leeds announced on their official website on Friday that the 19-year-old midfielder has agreed a two-year contract.
The youngster was offered new terms earlier this summer, and he has now accepted them and will remain at Elland Road.
Philips is an academy graduate and is a highly-rated central midfielder who is expected to feature heavily in the Whites’ first team in the coming years.
The teenager, who signed his professional contract in the summer of 2014, scored six goals in 23 appearances for the Leeds Under-21 side in the 2014-15 campaign.
The Englishman made his first-team debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home at Molineux in a Championship game which ended 4-3 in favour of the hosts.
Philips played the entire 90 minutes against Wolves and featured for 64 minutes against Cardiff City at Elland Road in the following game.
Following Philips’ new deal, Leeds fans took to Twitter to have their say.
