Gareth Bale and Gary Lineker predict Champions League final

Real Madrid star Gareth Bale and Tottenham Hotspur legend Gary Lineker look ahead to today’s Champions League final between Juventus and Barcelona.

Former Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale has told The Sun that he expects Juventus to win against Barcelona in the Champions League final today.

The former Real Madrid star believes that Italian champions Juventus will “surprise” favourites Barcelona at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.

"They are both good teams,” Wales international Bale told The Sun. “That’s the reason they are in the final.

“Everyone knows a lot about Barcelona as an attacking threat and the way they play. But I think Juventus are a surprise package.

“They were very good against us, well-organised and knew what they were doing. I think they will surprise Barcelona and pull it off.”

Tottenham legend Gary Lineker, though, has backed Barcelona to win the final this evening, predicting a 3-1 victory for the Catalan giants on social networking site Twitter:

Juventus v Barcelona

Italian giants Juventus have been dealt a blow with the news that star defender Giorgio Chiellini will miss out due to a calf tear.

Meanwhile, Spanish champions Barcelona will be able to call upon the services of Andres Iniesta, who seems to have recovered from a leg muscle problem.

Both Juve and Barcelona are chasing the treble this season. While the Bianconeri have won Serie A and the Coppa Italia, the Blaugrana have reclaimed La Liga and have clinched the Copa del Rey.
