The midfielder is being linked with a move away from White Hart Lane this summer.
One player whose future at Tottenham Hotspur looks like being in doubt is midfielder Mousa Dembele. The Belgian midfielder has struggled for regular football recently, with the emergence of Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason seeing him slipping down the pecking order.
He has recently been linked with a couple of moves away from the club. Everton were said to be interested back in September by The Mirror and Napoli were linked last summer.
With Tottenham looking to bring in new blood, Dembele is one player who is set to be on the verge of leaving.
That would not have been helped by this revelation from international duty. Dembele is currently with Belgium, set to take on France and Wales in international fixtures this month.
It was revealed by HLN News on Twitter that the Belgium press officer informed journalists not to ask about Dembele's future, stating that 'Tottenham asked' them to relay that message.
Dembele will not be short of suitors if he is for sale this summer, but for now it seems as though questions on the matter are simply off limits.
