West Ham United’s Diafra Sakho: I want to score 20 goals next season

West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho is determined to achieve more success next season.

West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho has written on the club’s official website that he wants to score 20 goals next season.

The 25-year-old Senegal international scored 10 goals in the Premier League and 12 in all competitions in the recently concluded 2014-15 campaign.

It was a successful debut season in England for Sakho, who moved to West Ham from French club Metz in the summer of 2014.

The striker has now stated that he is determined to find the target as many as 20 times next season.

“Every year I try to improve on what I did the season before,” Sakho wrote on West Ham’s official website.

“Before this season, I said to myself I would score 12 goals and I scored 12, so next season I want to score 20. If I play games, I will score.”

Scoring 20 goals in a season in England is not easy, but Sakho does have the ability to do just that.

The Senegalese showed that he can be a success in the Premier League in 2014-15 - and if he is fit, then he will certainly be able to score 20 goals.

One year of experience in the Premier League will have made Sakho wiser, and West Ham fans should expect him to raise his game even further in the 2015-16 campaign.
