SoccerNews has claimed that the Uruguayan international goalkeeper is set for a move to the Premier League, but he has told Turkish media outlet Ajans Haber that he is full committed to staying with Galatasaray.
When asked if he would be leaving Gala this summer, Muslera said: “Here is a goalkeeper committed one hundred percent to the yellow and red shirts [of Galatasaray].”
The SN report claims that Manchester United want the 28-year-old stopper as a replacement for David De Gea, whilst Arnseal and Spurs are also linked with summer moves for him.
An international with 64 caps, as well over 250 appearances at club level for Lazio and Gala, Muslera would be a top signing for any Premier League club.
However, his recent comments look to have put an end to any potential move away from the club, and it is likely that Muslera will remain with the Turkish champions into next season.
There are no indications that Gala are looking to sell one of their prize assets, and even though the Premier League trio can offer exceptional sums of money in the transfer window, the Istanbul outfit are never going to be pushed to sell a key player.
Despite the obvious interest in a player who is a proven talent, it appears as if United, Arsenal and Spurs will have to look elsewhere if they intend to sign a new goalkeeper this summer.
