Report: Sampdoria president heading to London to complete deals for Stefano Okaka and Eder

The Sampdoria duo have been linked with Southampton, West Ham United and Sunderland.

TMW are reporting that Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero will travel to London this weekend to oversee the transfer of two of his players to the Premier League - Stefano Okaka and Eder.

The duo are expected two leave Sampdoria this summer, and it is apparent that Ferrero is keen to push through the transfer deals early on in the window, with both attackers have keen Premier League interest.

Okaka has been linked with a move to Southampton and Sunderland this summer, as per Gianluca Di Marzio, but the TMW article claims that it is the Saints who are set to wrap up the deal for him. The 25-year-old forward scored four goals and registered two assists this season, impressing heavily in his 34 appearances.

There is no reference in the TMW report to which club Eder could be heading to, but the same outlet claimed West Ham were at the forefront of the race for his signature, and Ferrero’s decision to travel to London seems to back that up.

Should all go to plan, the two transfers could be completed in the coming days, and West Ham and Southampton will have moved one step closer to improving their playing squads ahead of next season.
