Andrea Mancini has struggled for form in Hungarian football.
Roberto Mancini was often criticised for his relationship with controversial striker Mario Balotelli. The former Manchester City boss had a special bond with his fellow countryman at The Etihad and it showed in his often staunch defence of the player.
But their partnership was often described as father and son like. Of course, Mancini actually did have his son at the club.
Andrea Mancini joined City in November 2010 from the youth system at Bologna, who had released him just months earlier.
He never made it at City. Mancini Jr played no senior games for the club and had spells on loan at Oldham Athletic and Fano, both of which were unsuccessful before Mancini Sr released his own son from Manchester City in 2012.
He has since gone on to struggle at Real Valladollid, Budapest Honved and joined Hungarian side Szombathelyi Haladas in January. He has failed to score at the club and his last goal in professional football remains a cup-tie strike for Honved in September 2014 - not exactly prolific for a striker.
Now he is set to make a new move in his career. Tutto Mercato Web report that Mancini Jr is leaving Hungary this summer and has a choice of two clubs, Slovenian outfit Gorica or MLS side DC United.
It remains to be seen if he can make a name for himself in the game.
