Report: Charlton Athletic join chase for Leeds United and Bolton free agent target Ben Pringle

Charlton Athletic - The Valley

The Addicks are keen on the Rotherham United player, who becomes a free agent this month.

Ben Pringle is turning into one of the Championship's most wanted men this summer. The left-winger ran down his contract at Rotherham United this summer and is now available on a free transfer.

Leeds United have been mentioned as one of the teams most hotly on his tail this summer. It was reported by The Yorkshire Post last month that Leeds were keen on their Yorkshire rivals' wide-man - with wingers seriously lacking at Elland Road.

But Leeds were not alone. It was also reported by the Derby Telegraph that Ipswich Town, Bolton Wanderers and Fulham were all keeping tabs on the player.

Now, another team has reportedly registered an interest in picking up the free agent this summer. Leeds, Bolton, Ipswich and Fulham will have to fight off interest from Championship rivals Charlton Athletic, according to the Sevenoaks Chronicle.

They claim that The Addicks have made Pringle's representatives aware of their interest and are hopeful of beating the other interested parties to his signature.

Pringle, a former Derby County player, featured in 43 games for The Millers in 2014-15 and scored three goals.
