Celtic are reportedly keen on signing Lyon youngster Fahd Moufi.

As reported by Foot Mercato, Celtic, Hannover and a selection of Premier League clubs are interested in signing Lyon youngster Fahd Moufi this summer.

The 19-year-old full-back, who can play on both the left and right side, has yet to make a competitive appearance for the Ligue 1 side, but has been capped at youth level by Morocco, and is a key figure of Lyon’s youth and reserve sides.

He appeared at the 2013 Under-17 AFCON tournament, impressing with his nation, which led to him moving to Lyon from hometown club FC Mulhouse.

He has been garnering this interest form abroad due to his impressive performances at both club and international level, and all the interested parties may be able to steal him from Lyon’s grasp this summer.

The French club are in talks with him to agree a professional contract, but the report states that talks have been delayed with Lyon unwilling to commit to any deal yet.

This has opened the possibility of a transfer away, on a cut-price fee, and Celtic may be looking to steal in and offer him a contract - promising the chances of first-team football that will be hard to come by with Les Gones.
