Arsenal fans mock James Milner on Twitter after his move to Liverpool

The Gunners faithful haven't held back on social media after the Manchester City man moved to the Reds.

After Liverpool confirmed they have agreed a deal to sign Manchester City midfielder James Milner on a free transfer this summer, the usual debate ensued.

There were those that felt paying huge wages to a player who wasn't crucial for Manchester City sent out all the wrong messages for a club like Liverpool.

And there were those who felt the 29-year-old's composure, consistency and versatility are exactly what the Reds need. Most fans are probably somewhere in between.

But not Arsenal fans.

No, the Gunners faithful appear to be delighted the former Manchester City man will not be moving to the Emirates Stadium and poked fun at Milner after his move to Liverpool was confirmed.

Anfield legend Phil Thompson had told Sky Sports that Liverpool signing the midfielder ahead of Arsenal was a 'massive positive.' Arsenal supporters, however, seem to view it as a huge plus for very different reasons...

Here's the best of the Arsenal Twitter reaction as fans from north London took to social media to mock the 29-year-old's decision to choose the Reds. Any Twitter polls, meanwhile, will probably be hijacked!
