Reported West Ham United target Mattia Perin has signed a new contract with his club Genoa.
The Italian club announced the deal on their official website on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old highly-rated goalkeeper has extended his contract to June 2019 - a clear indication that he will not leave this summer.
Perin is one of the best young goalkeepers in Europe and was in superb form in the recently concluded 2014-15 season.
In 32 Serie A appearances, the Italy international kept six clean sheets, and made 2.91 saves per game and 2.45 saves per goal on average.
According to a report in Tutto Mercato Web last month, Premier League outfit West Ham were interested in signing Perin from Genoa in the summer transfer window.
The idea was to bring in a good goalkeeper to compete with Adrian, who is the club’s undisputed first choice between the sticks.
However, Perin committing his future to Genoa should not affect West Ham much, as they have already signed a goalkeeper.
Darren Randolph has joined the London outfit on a free transfer after leaving Championship club Birmingham City.
