Tottenham: Five clubs allegedly admire Bentaleb, Wenger reportedly keen on Schneiderlin

Tottenham's Nabil Bentaleb has reportedly impressed Manchester United, while Arsenal allegedly remain interested in Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin.

Nabil Bentaleb interest

As many as five clubs are “admirers” of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb, according to The Sun.

The British tabloid claim that the Algeria international is being monitored by Manchester United, Manchester City, Lazio, Napoli and Juventus.

The report follows the 20-year-old’s revelation to The Telegraph that he is “getting a little bit tired” of contract negotiations which have been going on “since September”.

Bentaleb has said that he is “flattered” to know that he has had “some interest from big clubs, from Champions League clubs”.

The youngster, who still has three years left on his current contract at Tottenham, wants a pay rise due to his brilliant performances in the 2014-15 season.

It will be interesting to see how this situation unfolds over the coming weeks. Offers from the two Manchester clubs and Juventus would be hard to refuse, as they are all in the Champions League and have better chances of winning trophies in the future than Tottenham.

Morgan Schneiderlin interest

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is still “keen on Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin” despite his interest in AS Monaco’s Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to The Mirror.

Schneiderlin is being targeted by Premier League rivals Tottenham and Manchester United, according to The Daily Star.

The Gunners are now trying to lure Kondogbia, but The Mirror claim that Wenger still remains interested in Schneiderlin despite the France international’s inclination towards United.
