TNA legend AJ Styles turns down return offer

TNA Knockouts

AJ Styles has refused an attractive offer to be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame and appear at Bound For Glory.

AJ Styles is a name synonymous with TNA, he helped to build the company right from the very start and his departure was a huge shock for all concerned. AJ represented what was unique about TNA, putting the X Division on the map as someone who would have been considered too small to be a success in WWE a decade ago.

TNA recently reached out to Styles to offer him a very attractive deal to return to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and also work the Slammiversary and Bound For Glory events.

However, Styles has turned down the proposal as it is reported his priorities are currently with New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he has been a big hit, and Ring of Honour.

For many wrestling romantics, this will come as disappointing news but it is hard to blame AJ as many feel he was given a rough deal after doing so much for the company who were yet unable to agree a new deal with him.

With Ring of Honour airing on Destination America, the same network as TNA, it will be an intriguing situation to see Styles go up against the company he was a poster boy for.

AJ responded to the news on Twitter:
