Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma may be on his way to Sampdoria after the Italian club's president Massimo Ferrero confirmed negotiations with the club for the Frenchman at a press conference on Wednesday night.
Ferrero revealed he is in negotiations for Chelsea’s 20-year-old French defender Zouma.
"I already signed Moisander from Ajax and I am trying to get Zouma, because they are very physical players," Ferrero told reporters, as per Football Italia.
Sampdoria are almost certainly aiming for a loan deal because Chelsea are believed to see Zouma as star of the future.
In his debut season at Stamford Bridge, Zouma made 28 appearances, as Jose Mourinho's men won the League Cup and the Premier League in a successful season.
Zouma showed his value and utility to the Chelsea cause in the cup final against Tottenham, as the youngster played a blinding match in a defensive midfield role.
He did the same against Manchester United, preventing Marouane Fellaini from running riot while the Belgian midfielder was hitting form and becoming a nuisance for Premier League opposition.
Chelsea signed Zouma from Saint-Etienne for £12 million in January 2014.
