According to French publication Le 10 Sport, Tottenham Hotspur are chasing a number of Monaco players and claim that talks between the two clubs have already begun.
The report states that Arsenal and Manchester City are chasing talented midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia along with Spurs, but Mauricio Pochettino has his eye on more Monaco players than just the 22-year-old.
The affluent French club are supposedly set to lose a number of key players this summer, with former Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao being linked by the Daily Mirror with a move to Chelsea, and the North London club look well placed to take advantage of such an exodus.
Who may Spurs be looking at from Monaco?
Although Kondogbia seems to be the most in-demand talent in the French side, there are still a number of players that would be able to improve Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Club captain Jeremy Toulalan and Joao Moutinho would both be good additions to the midfield, while Layvin Kurzawa would be a very good option at left-back.
Toulalan and Moutinho are seasoned professionals who could provide Tottenham with experience, as well as a good level of ability, and Kurzawa was voted the 11th best player in Ligue 1 by whoscored last season – earning an overall rating greater than any Spurs player.
Whoever Pochettino may be targeting at Monaco, it will be interesting to see if any deals come off between the two sides this summer.
