Report: Tottenham pursue Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, could reunite him with Eriksen

Tottenham are reportedly targeting Bayern Munich teenager Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

According to German newspaper Kicker, Tottenham are one of a number of pursuing Bayern Munich teenager Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Spurs have already landed one Bundesliga youngster this summer by signing Koln defender Kevin Wimmer, but now Mauricio Pochettino could move for another in Hojbjerg.

Newspaper Kicker report that, with Hojbjerg returning to Bayern after his loan spell with Augsburg, the Danish international could look to move on permanently due to his fractured relationship with manager Pep Guardiola.

The 19-year-old midfielder is reportedly a target for Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund, but Kicker also believe Tottenham are in the race for his signature.

Pochettino also has a number of young midfielders at his disposal in Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb and Dele Alli, but Hojbjerg could be eyed up with Bentaleb still embroiled in a contract saga at White Hart Lane.

Hojbjeg is an international team mate of Tottenham star Christian Eriksen, and a reunion could be appealing to the Bayern midfielder if he does look to leave Bayern permanently this season.

Bayern may prefer to loan Hojbjerg out next season as he has a bright future ahead of him, which may not be what Spurs want considering their other young talent in midfield.
