The 26-year-old has played for LOSC since the summer of 2013, arriving in Ligue 1 from German club Wolfsburg. A talented central-defender, Kjaer has played 79 times for the club, scoring four goals, and consistently earning recognition and praise for his performances.
Also a fully-capped Danish international, Kjaer has appeared 48 times for his country, having made his debut in 2009.
Despite making 42 appearances this term, Lille are open to selling their defender this summer, as they are keen to raise transfer funds for when the market opens.
The report claims they are looking for a €10 million fee for Kjaer, which is a good deal for any buying club, considering his talent, experience and relative youth.
The Premier League duo do face European competition for Kjaer’s signature though, with Turkish trio Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas all referenced in the article as being keen admirers of the centre-back.
Kjaer is not the only player from Lille that West Ham and Southampton are keen on buying this summer, with the same report also referencing a long-standing interest in Senegalese box-to-box midfielder Idrissa Gueye.
