Fans of Liverpool and Manchester City have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the transfer of James Milner.
Milner will leave City at the end of the month when his current contract runs out and join Premier League rivals Liverpool on a free transfer.
The England international midfielder moved to the Citizens from Aston Villa in the summer of 2010, and won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and the League Cup during his five years at the Etihad Stadium.
The 29-year-old was never guaranteed a place in the starting line-up at City, and it makes sense for him to leave Manuel Pellegrini’s side for Brendan Rodgers’s team.
In the recently concluded 2014-15 season, the former Leeds United star scored five goals and created 52 chances in 32 Premier League appearances.
Milner had a pass accuracy of 79% and a shot accuracy of 41%, and won 36 headers, 19 dribbles and 45 tackles.
Following the announcement of the transfer, Liverpool and City fans took to Twitter to have their say.

Milner is a "good" player with lots of enthusiasm he's not a "great" player he will be missed but I'm sure he's easily replaceable #mcfc— Anthony LLoyd (@alloyd83) June 4, 2015

Busy day so missed the news. I'm going to miss Milner. Taken an opportunity to start every week, can't blame him for that. #mcfc— Alex Bowers (@alex_bowers) June 4, 2015
