Lee has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal with the Championship outfit, as reported by BBC Sports.
The 26-year-old former Manchester United prospect has been on the books of the Owls since 2012, when he joined them on a free transfer after leaving Oldham Athletic.
Lee is delighted to have committed his future to Wednesday and has posted the following message on Twitter:

Lee is an important player for Wednesday, and him remaining at Hillsborough will enhance the club’s chances of a successful 2015-16 campaign.
The Englishman scored six goals and created 37 chances in 33 appearances in the Championship in the recently concluded 2014-15 season.
The former Oldham midfielder had a pass accuracy of 77% and a pass accuracy of 47%, and won 15 headers, 10 dribbles and 56 tackles.
