Tottenham Hotspur media round-up: Two players could be set for exits

A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Daily Mail has reported that Tottenham have rejected another bid from Marseille for midfielder Benjamin Stambouli.

Marseille have previously tried to sign the player on loan, with Tottenham preferring a permanent deal.

The paper states the offer has been rejected because it’s short of what Tottenham believe the player to be worth.

England under-21 boss Gareth Southgate has been quoted by the Daily Star explaining why he dropped defender Eric Dier from his final squad for the European Championship.

The tournament in the Czech Republic gets underway in just over two weeks and Dier will not be part of the England side that takes part.

He’ll seemingly have to work harder to get ahead of others in the race to be one of England’s top centre backs.

“Eric was a difficult one. That's because we've got five very good centre-backs in that initial squad,” he said.

The Daily Star has reported that Manchester United have opened talks over a deal to sign Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

The Frenchman is thought to be a target for United, as they look to prepare for the inevitability of David De Gea’s exit.

The paper claims that an offer in the region of £35 million would be enough to push a deal through.
