According to AS, Celtic have today submitted a bid to sign Chile international forward Juan Delgado from Colo-Colo - and their offer is now under consideration.
The Bhoys secured their first summer signing earlier this week by snapping up Manchester City defender Dedryck Boyata, and now manager Ronny Deila will be looking for more arrivals despite winning the league title in his debut season at Celtic.
Additions to the final third are expected, with loanees John Guidetti, Aleksandar Tonev and Mubarak Wakaso unlikely to have futures at Celtic when their temporary deals expire this summer.
Now, AS report that Deila and Celtic have submitted a bid to sign Chilean international Delgado, a player who can play behind a striker or out wide.
The 22-year-old has scored eight goals in 44 games for Colo-Colo, whilst also earning two caps for Chile, scoring once after impressing for their Under-20 side.
The report states that Celtic submitted their bid for Delgado earlier today, and that Colo-Colo president Jose Luis Sierra is now considering whether to accept or reject Celtic's offer.
Again, Delgado fits the mould of being a young, tricky player, the type of player Deila has already brought to Celtic as he places more of an emphasis on high tempo and work rate - something he may see Delgado as being ideal for should Celtic be able to strike a deal with Colo-Colo.
