Pochettino and Levy choose same keyword to describe the future for Tottenham

Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy seem to have similar ideas for the Tottenham Hotspur first team.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy chose the same keyword to describe the best approach to the Spurs first team, on the club’s official Facebook page.

Both individuals suggested that ‘balance’ is the word of the day as they were pressed by fans over their plans to develop the team in the near future.

“We need the right balance in the team. It's not about age it's about the right profile of player for the team,” said Pochettino.

“I think a balance is needed but you can be sure we shall always be a club that embraces youth,” said Levy.

Tottenham are one of the best clubs in the business when it comes to developing younger players.

Several individuals have excelled under Pochettino’s guidance in his first season at White Hart Lane, carrying on the good work which has been done by former coaches like Chris Ramsey and Tim Sherwood.

However, there was a frailty about Tottenham at times last season and arguably a need to bring in some more experienced, high level players who will help to move the team forward over the coming months.

That won’t come cheap so it’s key that Levy backs Pochettino over any player he feels he needs for his Tottenham side in the near future.

The right additions in terms of proven experience can give the younger players in the team that little boost in terms of providing the extra security and protection they need to go about their business, utilising their exciting attributes with Tottenham benefiting as a result.

It is indeed, all about balance.
