A player tipped for a bright future at Leeds United has been keeping himself active.
Leeds United have a lot of right-backs on their books, some natural – in the form of Sam Byram and Gaetano Berardi – and some makeshift – such as Scott Wootton – but they also have a talented teenager who could get a first-team chance next season.
Well that chance could come sooner rather than later, but if that is to happen he will have to ensure he is in peak condition to impress new Leeds boss Uwe Rosler when the players return for pre-season training.
And as if in preparation for that Coyle retweeted a video of himself taking part in some light boxing training on Tuesday afternoon.
Coyle’s older brother Tommy is a boxer and it was no surprise to see the youngster being put through his paces in the ring. But the next challenge is to get that first-team chance he has been dreaming of for so long.
With Byram now transformed into a very effective winger by former Leeds manager Neil Redfearn, and Wootton more commonly known as a centre-back, Rosler may yet give Coyle that chance.
