Celtic-owned striker Holmbert Fridjonsson has told 3point that he wants to remain in Denmark.
Fridjonsson played for Danish club Brondby on loan from Scottish Premiership giants Celtic this season.
The 22-year-old is now set to return to his parent club, with whom he has a contract until June 2017.
However, the Iceland international striker has said that he wants to continue playing his club football in Denmark.
“I just need to find the right club where I can play all the minutes and grow as a player.”
Brondby had the option to sign Fridjonsson from Celtic on a permanent contract this summer, but they have decided not to use it.
This is clearly an indication that Thomas Frank’s side are not interested in the youngster’s services any more.
Fridjonsson could make only 14 appearances in all competitions for Brondby in the 2014-15 season.
Celtic manager Ronny Deila did not need Fridjonsson this season, and it is unlikely that the Norwegian will have him in his first-team plans for the 2015-16 campaign.
