Former Leeds United goalkeeper and reported target for the Elland Road club Paul Robinson told talkSPORT that he’s relaxed over his future.
The Daily Star was among the sources to recently report the rumour that Robinson could be on his way back to Leeds and he’s revealed that he’s relaxed over how he sees his future panning out over the coming weeks.
“I’ve been trying hard over the last eight months or so – It’s been unusual and it’s been difficult for me – I’m just waiting to see what sort of offers I’ll get,” he said.
Robinson is not being kept on by Blackburn Rovers, which means that unless he retires, there is going to be a club getting their hands on a very experienced player.
He can add plenty to the backline of any team, with his experience likely to be very useful in terms of structuring a defence and making a backline much more difficult to break down.
However, Leeds may not be the best choice for him because of Marco Silvestri.
The Italian number one is on a long term deal at Leeds and will be difficult to displace at Elland Road next season, with a full campaign of Championship football under his belt.
If Robinson does return to Leeds this summer, he’ll more than likely have to accept that he’s not going to be first choice.
However, he’s open to all offers.
