Report: West Ham United lose Unai Emery to Napoli

West Ham

West Ham United target and Sevilla coach Unai Emery has reportedly agreed a deal with Napoli.

West Ham United have failed to secure the services of Unai Emery, according to The Sun.

Emery is in charge of Spanish club Sevilla at the moment, and according to Sky Sports, the Hammers want to appoint him as their manager for next season.

London outfit West Ham are looking for a manager at the moment, having decided against renewing the contract of Sam Allardyce.

However, according to The Sun, the Premier League club will have to look elsewhere now, as Emery has agreed a deal with Italian club Napoli.

The British tabloid claim that Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentis and number two Andrea Chievelli flew to Madrid on Monday night to hold a meet with Emery.

A £4 million-a-year deal has been agreed between Napoli and the former Valencia boss.

The Sun claim that Emery, who has led Sevilla to back-to-back Europa League triumphs, was West Ham’s ‘top target’ to replace Allardyce.
