Crystal Palace have managed to fend off interest from Everton in Scott Dann, according to a report in the Guardian.
Everton apparently wanted Dann to strengthen their defensive ranks, but it seems that Palace are not interested in doing a deal.
The Guardian insists that the Eagles do not want to sell Dann for any price and they are determined to keep him at Selhurst Park for the near future.
Dann still has two years on his contract at Palace, meaning that they are under no pressure to cash in on the defender, and Alan Pardew wants to build his team around the former Blackburn Rovers man.
Pardew has ambitious plans for Palace and he wants to guide them into the top-half of the Premier League table next season.
Keeping Dann would be a statement of their intent, as they look to keep the bulk of their squad together for the upcoming campaign.
Everton, meanwhile, will have to look elsewhere for defensive recruits - with Roberto Martinez determined to strengthen his back line.
