Celtic's latest signing has donned the club's shirt for the first time.
New Celtic defender Dedryck Boyata has posed with his Bhoys shirt number following his move from Manchester City.
The 24-year-old Belgian completed his move to Celtic Park on Tuesday having agreed a four-year deal, and now he has held aloft a shirt with his name and the number 20 on the back.
The centre-back is Celtic manager Ronny Deila’s first summer signing but he is unlikely to be the last, with the Bhoys eager to recruit in order to challenge both domestically and in Europe next season.
The signing of a new defender was vital following Jason Denayer’s return to City after his hugely succesful loan spell in Scotland, and now it is up to Boyata to prove he can be every bit as effective as his former Blues teammate.
Boyata played just 35 times for City’s first-team but he is sure to feature regularly following his arrival at Celtic Park.
Next on Deila’s wish-list is likely to be a new striker to replace the departed John Guidetti, with the Champions League qualifying matches later this summer set to define the Norwegian’s second season in charge.
