Former Norwich City goalkeeper Mark Bunn took to Twitter to praise Derby County's appointment of Real Madrid assistant manager Paul Clement.
The 30-year-old, who will be a free agent after his contract at Norwich expires, will know the 42-year-old coach well from his time at Blackburn Rovers and couldn’t wait to express his delight at his appointment.
Bunn, who played the majority of the Canaries' games in the Premier League during their 11th-placed finish in 2013, could perhaps be a signing for Clement to consider following the criticism of number one goalkeeper Lee Grant recently.
The former Blackburn and Northampton goalkeeper has always performed well for Norwich during his time in East Anglia and had it not been for the form of England international John Ruddy, he would have got more of a look in.
Nevertheless, for Derby fans, its will be another confidence boost as they start to learn more about the man who is tasked with sending the sleeping giant back into the Premier League.
Clement has arrived with an outstanding reputation, both in England and abroad, but has it all to prove as a number one.
The East Midlands side can offer him the perfect platform to achieve his goals and if he can win promotion at the first time of asking, there can be no doubt that Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant will be talked up with the top jobs in the country.
