A round up of news stories this morning related to Arsenal.
Benteke has been in good form for Villa, but struggled to make an impression in the FA Cup final, which Arsenal won 4-0.
His agent has confirmed that he wants to play in one of the Champions League or the Europa League.
The Daily Star also continues to report Manchester United’s interest in reported Arsenal midfield target Morgan Schneiderlin.
The Frenchman has been suggested as an addition to the Gunners side and someone who could help to take the team forward.
However, the Star has suggested that United would be competitive in any bidding war to sign him.
Former Arsenal man Niall Quinn has been quoted by the Daily Express suggesting Jack Wilshere overstepped the mark following the club’s FA Cup win.
Wilshere led Arsenal supporters in chants against the club’s North London rivals Tottenham, which has forced the club to issue Spurs with an apology.
Quinn has suggested that Wilshere is making an unhealthy habit of overstepping the mark at the club.
“You want passion from your players, there is no doubt about that but he has overstepped the mark once more,” he said.
