Tottenham Hotspur media round-up: Spurs receive apology after Wilshere antics

A round up of morning news stories related to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Daily Mail reports that Arsenal have said sorry for Jack Wilshere’s abuse of Tottenham after the FA Cup final.

Wilshere led anti-Spurs chants from a balcony to Arsenal fans following the Gunners’ FA Cup victory over the weekend.

The microphone was subsequently snatched away from him leading to an apology from Tottenham’s North London rivals.

"Like any broadcast, we apologised when there was swearing," said an Arsenal spokesperson.

The Daily Star has reported quotes from Harry Kane where the Tottenham striker vows to stay level headed despite his success last season.

Kane was the club’s top scorer and developed superbly over the course of the season to become important under Mauricio Pochettino.

Kane has openly admitted that his career has taken a dramatic turn over the course of the past 12 months.

“All I can do is focus on what I can achieve. If I keep working hard, staying grounded and doing the right things then I will have a better chance of achieving those things people are predicting for me,” he said.

The Daily Star has reported that Morgan Schneiderlin is keen on a move away from Southampton.

However, Spurs reportedly face competition from Manchester United if they want to go after a move.

The same paper also reports that United will be disappointed in their attempts to sign Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
