Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to hit back at Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.
The 23-year-old took to the microphone in front of thousands of Arsenal fans outside the Emirates Stadium, mocking Premier League rivals Tottenham.
Last season, Wilshere did something similar - mock Spurs, who have finished below Arsenal in the Premier League table for years.
There is a huge rivalry between the two North London clubs Arsenal and Tottenham, but it is the former who are bigger in terms of worldwide popularity and trophy success.
This season, the Gunners finished in the top four of the Premier League yet again and won the FA Cup. Meanwhile, Spurs ended up fifth in the league table and reached the final of the League Cup.
Following Wilshere’s expletive-laden chant, Tottenham fans took to Twitter to hit back at the Englishman.
Wilshere sums up the modern day Spurs obsessed gooner. Can't enjoy success without referencing us. They love us really #COYS— MTG (@MarkSpur61)May 31, 2015
Wilshere doesn't help himself, sounding like a 3 year old when he talks...#coys— darren everest (@DarrenEverest) May 31, 2015
I can't help but find Wilshere singing about Spurs again embarrassing. on the win but that unfulfilled talent just has no class! #COYS— lewis evans (@lewis_evans_) May 31, 2015
Absolutely hilarious that all Wilshere can think about after winning the FA cup is Spurs, love it— LH (@LiamHutton) May 31, 2015
Arsenal fans, I respect your club but are you not embarrassed? Probably not because it's Spurs chants and that makes it ok right? #Wilshere— Graham Chapple (@Graham_Chapple) May 31, 2015
Has Wilshere got nothing better to do than sing about Spurs all the time?— Tobias (@Tomas_Cresswell) May 31, 2015
