Hedge Fund

Elliott Management, the hedge fund firm run by billionaire Paul Singer, hired Zion Shohet from Citigroup to become chief operating officer.

Bloomberg News reports that Shohet will report to Jon Pollock, co-chief investment officer, the firm said in a memo, a copy of which was obtained by Bloomberg News. His role takes effect July 13.

Shohet was global head of regulatory reform at Citigroup, where he had worked for 14.

In the meantime, Bloomberg also reports that Deutsche Bank has hired RBC Capital Markets’s Jennifer Hadiaris as the head of U.S. market structure strategy, a role that involves examining how trading works in the world’s biggest equity market.

She starts in June and will report to Brian Fagen, North America head of execution services sales.
