The Rangers loanee has clearly enjoyed his time at the club but now he heads back to Newcastle United for another challenge.
Newcastle United player Haris Vuckic has taken to Twitter to send a message to Rangers and their fans after his loan spell came to an end.
The 22-year-old arrived at the Scottish Championship side back in February along with four of his Newcastle teammates, but he has enjoyed the best spell of any of them by far, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 22 appearances.
Alas that was not enough to fire Rangers into the Scottish Premiership, with Stuart McCall’s side losing 6-1 on aggregate to Motherwell in the recent play-off final.
Vuckic was unable to add to his tally in either leg of the final, although he did provide two assists in the earlier clashes against Queen of the South and Hibernian.
But with his Newcastle contract expiring this summer and Rangers having to make do with another season of second-tier football, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Vuckic.
Writing on social media after Rangers’ weekend defeat, the Slovenian said, “Big thanks to Rangers FC and Rangers fans for all the support.”
