Leeds United fans discuss the Sol Bamba situation

Sol Bamba’s future at Championship outfit Leeds United is uncertain.

Sol Bamba was one of the best players for Leeds United in the recently concluded 2014-15 season.

Bamba joined Leeds on loan from Italian club Palermo during the January transfer window and was a success at Elland Road in the second half of the 2014-15 campaign.

The former Paris Saint-Germain defender scored one goal and created one chance in 19 Championship appearances, and had a pass accuracy of 71% and a shot accuracy of 33%.

The Ivory Coast international was superb for the Whites, but HITC Sport reported last week that Bamba had rejected an initial offer to switch to the West Yorkshire outfit on a permanent contract.

However, The Yorkshire Evening Post claims that Leeds are still interested in recruiting Bamba on a permanent deal.

Leeds fans have been discussing the future of Bamba, and below are the best comments posted on various articles on HITC Sport over the past few days.

Steven Cohen: “Credit to Sol Bamba for his integrity and decency. Something lacking in Cellino and the current Leeds. They have treated Thompson and Redfearn disgustingly. No shame and Barton would be the depth of disgusting. How can anyone support a team that is full of madmen running the asylum? Boycott til Cellino goes.”

MCLeeds: “Maybe he is just looking for improved offer. He's a great player who made a big impact last season. Let's hope he gets an acceptable offer soon.”

David Lockwood: “It would be a great shame if we lost him because we need proper, real people at Leeds. He says it as it is, but with careful consideration. A leader and a breath of fresh air, unlike some of the others!”

Michael Michaelson: “Bamba was fantastic for the most part and was MARVELLOUS in the dressing room. When The Italians decided to show their verminous disloyalty, it was Bamba who kept the peace in a divided squad. He will be missed on and off the pitch!!!”

Spellz: “Really hope we put in a second offer for him, definitely one of the best I have seen in a long time.”
