Ex-Liverpool transfer guru Damien Comolli has talked up Arsenal new boys Yassin Fortune and Jeff Reine Adelaide in an interview with French Publication Le Phoceen.
The 42-year-old revealed his admiration of the young duo when asked about Manchester City midfielder Seko Fofana.
When asked Fofana’s potential, the ex-Liverpool director of football strategy replied: ‘’I would say this: he is not an exceptional talent, as we have seen with the phenomenal Pogba or both Lens kids who have just signed for Arsenal (Fortune and Reine Adelaide).’’
The endorsement by Comolli, who is credited with the discovery of several top talents like Luis Suarez and Kolo Toure, is bound to be a huge boost for the duo as they look to make an impact next season.
How good can Fortune and Reine Adelaide be for the Gunners?
The teenagers are representatives of the France Under-17 team and are considered to be two of the strongest in the group.
Therefore, even at such a young age, it’s easy to see the duo could have bright futures at the Emirates Stadium, and will be looking to emulate the likes of Jack Wilshere and Hector Bellerin who have broken through in the last few years.
Along with the French duo, the Gunners also have Serge Gnabry, Krystian Bielik, Gedion Zelalem and Dan Crowley in reserve, allowing the FA Cup champions to comfortably boast one of the best academies in Europe.
