Everton target Nolito says he could leave Celta de Vigo for a ‘lot of money’

Celta de Vigo attacker Nolito is reportedly being targeted by Everton and Atletico Madrid.

Reported Everton target Nolito has been quoted as saying by Sport that he is on the radar of Atletico Madrid.

The attacker is on the books of Spanish club Celta de Vigo at the moment and has been linked with a move to Premier League outfit Everton in the summer transfer window.

According to The Liverpool Echo, the Toffees are interested in signing the 28-year-old Spain international, who can play as a winger and as a forward.

However, it may not be easy for the Merseryside outfit to prise away Nolito, as he has attracted interest from former Spanish champions Atletico Madrid.

“No one has called me from Atletico, but I'm aware that the club has enquired about me," the former Barcelona prospect is quoted as saying by Sport.

"There's a very long road between that and them signing you, though. Celta have told me that they won't stand in the way if I want to leave, but it won't be easy because of my €18million release clause.

"I'd never try to force my way out of Celta; I'm very happy in Vigo. If a big club comes knocking and offers me a lot of money, though... I feel I've conducted myself very well over the last two years.”

It seems that Nolito is ready to leave Celta if he is offered a very good wage, but the problem for Everton is that he also wants to move to a “big club”.

There is no doubt that Everton are a big club, but Atletico are bigger. Moreover, the Madrid outfit are also in the Champions League, which makes them even more attractive than the Toffees.
