A round up of morning news stories related to Arsenal.

Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta has been quoted by the Metro, talking up his club’s financial strength for this summer.

The Spaniard feels the Gunners are in a good position to be financially competitive against their main rivals as they chase new players.

However, whether Arsene Wenger is prepared to make big changes to his team after a decent season remains to be seen.

“I think the club is in a strong position to push because financially it’s in a very good position as well. I think it’s the right moment,” he said.

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has been quoted by ESPN suggesting that he won’t be going anywhere this summer.

The Pole has suggested that he sees his future at Arsenal, showing no desire to push for a move away from the club.

He has called rumours that he wants to leave the club speculation.

“I am very grateful for the manager, he has been good with me over these last couple of months - You [media] like to speculate, but I am happy where I am,” he said.

Arsenal midfielder Theo Walcott has been quoted by the Daily Mirror suggesting that he too is happy at the Gunners and not looking for a move away from the club.

Talks are thought to have been ongoing over his future for an extended period, as the winger decides whether to commit his long term future to the club.

Walcott holds little doubt that the differences in terms between his representatives and Arsenal will be resolved.

“I am sure things will get resolved. I just want to enjoy today. I have got England coming up and then we can think about that process,” he said.
